A new vitola has been released to the Undercrown Shade portfilio, in a Limited Edition format. The Undercrown Shade Suprema is a perfecto that measures 6 inches by 54 ring gauge at its fattest point.
The blend is unchanged from the other sizes in the Undercrown Shade line: an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, Ecuador Sumatra binder and a filler mix of Dominican Criollo ’98, Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo tobaccos.
Despite utilizing the same blend, the perfecto Suprema is a touch bolder than other Undercrown Shade cigars, according to Drew Estate.
Undercrown Shade Suprema will come packed in five-count boxes that carry a suggested retail price of $47.99, or $9.60 per cigar, and will begin hitting stores in September.
Undercrown was Drew Estate in 2011, and was intended to fill a gap in its production of Liga Privada, a bold, full-bodied smoke made with Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Drew Estate expanded on the line in 2015 with Undercrown Shade, and then in 2017, the company released Undercrown Sun Grown.
