5 Short Cigars for Winter

As the days get shorter and temperatures plummet, larger cigars enter humidor hibernation until spring and small smokes come out to play. Here are our picks for 5 short cigars you should smoke this Winter season. These cigars all offer great flavour, strength and value and may be enjoyed in roughly 30 minutes.

 

H. UPMANN HALF CORONA (3.5″ x 44)

The first name on the team-sheet! The H Upmann Half Corona was an obvious choice for this list and a cigar that’s becoming increasingly popular. The Montecristo Media Corona is the exact same size as the HUHC, but offers a different experience with a more complex, full-flavoured profile. Drew Estate’s Flying Pig was a massive success when it was first released under the Liga brand. The unique, short-and-stumpy vitolas are available in numerous blends including Liga Privada No. 9, Liga Privada T52, Undercrown Maduro, Undercrown Shade and Undercrown Sun Grown.
