San Cristóbal de la Habana Prado to be Unveiled This Week

The San Cristobal de la Habana Prado, a Petit Pirámide (5″ x 50), is set to be unveiled on October 4th at a Habanos event in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Prado, which will be sold in 10-count boxes, is a “Habanos Specialists” release, and will be the fifth cigar released under this designation, joining the San Cristóbal Torreon in 2012, the H. Upmann Connoisseur A in 2013, the Punch Punch 48 from 2016 and the H. Upmann Connossieur B, released in 2017.

San Cristobal de la Habana is a relatively new marca in the Cuban cigar portfolio and only dates back to 1999. The marca is a nod to the history of Havana, and the original vitolas in the line were all named for forts that protected the city during its days as a Spanish colony. The Prado is named for Paseo del Prado, the famed street that is considered the dividing line between Habana Vieja, or the old part of the city, and Centro Habana.
