Habanos, S.A. will launch a world preview of Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Río Seco at a distributor event in Lebanon. Le Hoyo de Río Seco will be a heavy gauge addition to this historic marca, which is typically known for its slim and medium-gauge formats. As with other Hoyo vitolas, Le Hoyo de Río Seco is also made “Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga – Totally Handmade with Long Filler” – by expert Cuban torcedores, or cigar rollers.
Although Le Hoyo de Rio Seco is not the marca’s first foray into heavy gauge cigars (with Le Hoyo de San Juan (5.9″x54) released in 2014), Le Hoyo de Río Seco (5.5″ x 56) is a very attractive option for lovers of delicate, aromatic Habanos of lower strength. Additionally, it stands out for its complexity, resulting in a very elegant vitola. It is presented in the classic sliding lid box, and will be available in 10 and 25 count boxes.
The Hoyo de Monterrey marca originated in the plantation of the same name, located in the area of San Juan y Martínez, in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo region. The Hoyo de Monterrey plantation is one of the most renowned and is well-known for the famous inscription on its entrance: “Hoyo de Monterrey, José Gener. 1860”.
